Story

With its origins in Hawaii, Poke (POH-KEH), which means to section or to cut, started as a snack that fishermen enjoyed from their daily catch. In the traditional Hawaiian cuisine it was usually served as an appetizer, and it mainly consisted of seasoned raw tuna or octopus mixed with some traditional ingredients. Today’s Poke has been heavily influenced by different Asian cuisines, and the adaptations make the possible options pretty much endless.
